Candles & Wax Melts.

 

What are Wax Melts?

Wax Melts are basically pieces of scented wax. There are 2 ways you can use wax melts. You can either use them with a tea-light burner or an electric wax warmer. This method provides you with a stronger scent throw. Or you can put them in an organza bags to disperse the scent in an enclosed area, like your wardrobe. We do not recommend leaving them in areas that are warm or has direct sunlight, because they might melt.

 

How many pieces of Wax Melts do I use each time and how long do they last?

You can use as many or as little as you like! The good thing about Wax Melts is that you can adjust the strength of your scent to your liking. The more you melt, the stronger the scent! You can also mix and match different scents! Whatever you do, just be careful not to overflow your wax melter.
It depends how hot you burner/melter is and how much you use at one go but our Wax Melts can be reused as many times as you like until the scent is gone.

 

What are your Candles and Wax Melts made of?

All of our Candles and Wax Melts are made of 100% natural soy wax.

 

What’s the difference between your wax and other brands’?

All of our products are made with 100% natural soy wax.

Here are some benefits of soy wax:

  • non-toxic
  • cleaner burn
  • less likely to trigger allergies
  • does not give off harmful byproducts
  • produces very little black soot
  • biodegradable
  • lower melting point than paraffin thus burns slower and creates better scent throw

Most big brand candles are made with paraffin wax,

  • releases toxins and carcinogens that are neither eco-friendly nor healthy for our body
  • produces more soot that collects in the jar and can stain the surrounding furniture and walls
  • higher melting point = shorter burn time
  • weaker scent throw
  • emits a chemical scent when lit

 

Why do I need to trim my wicks?

Trimming your wick helps to control the flame height, get a cleaner burn and prevents black soot. When the flame is too big, it can cause the candle to burn too hot which is extremely dangerous.

 

What is the expiry date of your product?

We recommend using our Candles and Wax Melts within 6 months of purchase to get the best out of it.

 

Help! Why is my Candle is tunnelling?

All of our Candles are tested to ensure our wick fits our candle vessel. We recommend burning your Candle for at least 3 hours on the first burn to allow your candle to reach a full melt pool. But if you’re experiencing tunnelling in your Candle, don’t worry! Here’s a simple fix: simply light your candle, wrap an aluminium foil around it and leave an opening at the top and wait for the wax on the sides to melt. If the melted wax covers your wick, carefully pour the excess wax out.

What kind of fragrances do you use?

We only use premium phthalate-free fragrance oil.

 

What’s the difference between Fragrance Oil and Essential Oil?

Fragrance Oil:

  • manufactured in a laboratory
  • specifically designed for use in candles, soaps, perfumes and other scented products
  • engineered to create a stronger and long lasting scent throw
  • higher flashpoint = evaporates slower
  • retains scent longer

Essential Oil:

  • extracted directly from plants and natural resources
  • not made for burning, thus having 100% pure essential oil produces almost no scent when burning
  • lower flash point = evaporates faster and high risk of combustion
  • retains scent shorter
  • requires high quality resources to extract high quality essential oil
  • inconsistent scent depending on quality of the natural resources
